Ranorex Advanced

This core course provides a comprehensive understanding of using Ranorex Studio as an automated functional testing tool for different environments. You will extend your knowledge and get a deeper insight of the Ranorex Core Api.

You will be introduced to the API and other specific problem solving techniques that you can use in Ranorex Studio.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Use advanced Ranorex Path Expressions
  • Tackle dynamic ID (Web) problems
  • Understand path weights and how to change them
  • Use Image Based Recognition
  • Create a custom report
  • Write user code with the use of Ranorex API’s
  • How to handle unexpected popups/dialogs
  • Create Module libraries
  • Solve Object Recognition Problems

Typical Audience

This course is intended for users of Ranorex Studio who need to extend their knowledge to be able to tackle more complex test cases that could not be captured with record & play.

Course Prerequisites

Ranorex Basic training and/or at least one year hands-on experience with Ranorex. Knowing C# or .NET is a plus.

Course Delivery

Approximately 50% of the class is devoted to lab exercises.

Throughout the course, an experienced trainer provides lectures and gives exercises based on real-world projects. Courses can be given in English or Dutch. Course material is in English.

Course Venue

The course duration is 2 days.
This course can be given at the client’s site or at CTG.

Course Administration


By Participant: If a subscribed course participant is replaced by another participant or if the public course is postponed to a later date, no cancellation costs apply. A participant or a group that fails to attend, or that cancels a course without at least 15 working days written notice prior to the course start, is liable for the full subscription cost.
By CTG: CTG reserves the right to cancel a course at any time.

Course Logistics

These classroom course starts promptly at 9 am and is scheduled until 5 pm. All courses are organised at the CTG premises in Diegem (Belgium).
