ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)

This three-day accredited course prepares you for the exam "ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer" and meets the requirements as set by ISTQB. You will learn all about test automation development, deployment, and improvement.
In addition to preparation for the exam the training will offer you lots of exercises to help you build up hands-on experience. Part of the exercises will even be based on your own System Under Test.

Course Objectives

  • You can contribute to the development of a plan to integrate automated testing within the testing process.
  • You can evaluate tools and technology for automation best fit to each project and organization.
  • You can create an approach and methodology for building a test automation architecture (TAA).
  • You can design and develop (new or modified) test automation solutions that meet the business needs.
  • You can enable the transition of testing from a manual to an automated approach.
  • You can create automated test reporting and metrics collection.
  • You can manage and optimize testing assets to facilitate maintainability and address evolving (test-)systems.

Course Prerequisites

You possess the ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing and have 18 months of experience as a tester.
Preferably you have some scripting/programming knowledge (or you are at least keen on learning this).

Course Delivery

Throughout the course, an accredited trainer and software testing expert provides lectures and gives exercises based on real-world projects.

Different mock exams ensure an optimal preparation for the real certification exam.

Courses can be given in English or in Dutch. Course material is in English.

The course and the exam are offered to you in cooperation with our partner Improve QS.

Course Venue

The course duration is 3 days.

This course can be given at the client’s site or at CTG.

Course Administration

All prices are exclusive of the exam fee, which is subject to change. At the time of publishing the exam fee is € 275 per person.

All prices are VAT excluded; course material, lunch and beverages are included.

Cancellation

  • By Participant : If a subscribed course participant is replaced by another participant or if the public course is postponed to a later date no cancellation costs apply. A participant or a group that fails to attend, or that cancels a course without at least 15 working days written notice prior to the course start, is liable for the full subscription cost.
  • By CTG: CTG reserves the right to cancel a course at any time.

Course Logistics

All classroom courses begin promptly at 9 am and are scheduled until 5 pm. All courses are organised at the CTG premises in Diegem (Belgium).
