Giving and receiving feedback has become key in the modern organisation. Not only from managers to team members but also from the team to management and to each other.
Both positive as well as constructive feedback can lead to unwanted effects when not done properly, with the most common one being that nothing really seems to happen, that’s why we need to further educate ourselves, and our teams to use feedback as an instrument of impact, to leverage the skills and strengths of others to achieve the results we want to achieve.
In this course, we will focus on what happens to us when we give and receive feedback and how we influence other people’s reactions through our behaviour.
We will look at how words and motions can be used to attract and hold attention, and how to translate this attention into action as feedback needs to be translated into simple, executable plans and achievements that help people grow in their role.
This course is intended for anyone who is or will be assigned to build team capability and performance and work with employee engagement but is also useful for employees and team members looking at improving their feedback skills. This can be for both experienced roles as well as new people.
Everyone is free to take the course, however having an active role in team feedback, leadership or HR in a changing environment is recommended. We recommend this course to be part of the 3-day leadership track Compelling Vision and Direction - Coaching for Performance - Impact with Feedback.
The course is set up through a series of exercises, roleplaying scenario’s and discussions around recognisable situations that are based on real world projects. An experienced trainer will guide you through both the practical side as well as the theoretic framework behind these experiences.
